Turquoise Drop Stitch Scarf
This super lacy scarf is a nice addition to your spring wardrobe. Composed of dropping yarn overs off the needle, you will get the hang of this stitch in no time.
I used two skeins of Simply Soft Party in Teal Sparkle with size 9 circular needles. This is worked in the round.
Co 130 sts, join, and pm
Row 1 and 5: k across
Row 2 and 6: p across
Row 3: *k6, yo twice, k1, yo 3 times, k1, yo 4 times, k1, yo 3 times, k1, yo twice; repeat from *across
Row 4 and 8: k across, dropping all yo's off needle
Row 7: *yo twice, k1, yo 3 times, k1, yo 4 times, k1, yo 3 times, k1, yo twice, k6; repeat from *across
Repeat rows 1-8 until your cowl is the desired size. After a row 2, cast off in knit. Weave in all ends.
The finished cowl is 12"x42". I recommend using the Russian join if you have to add more yarn, as it is rather difficult to weave ends in through a lacy stitch like this.
This is a really fun cowl to wear, and I have gotten many compliments on it!
