Shelled Cowl

This open cowl is made up of shell stitches and chains to form the rows upon rows of shells.
I used one skein of Simply Soft in Purple with an I hook.
Ch 32
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 5, sk next 4 sc, sc in next ch; rep from * to end across
Row 2: ch 3, turn, 2 doc in 1st sc, * sc in next ch 5 sp, (2dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next sc; rep from * to end across, so in next ch 5 sp, 3 dc in sc
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in 1st doc, ch 5, (sc, ch 5) in each ch 1 sp across to within last 6 sts, sk next 5 sts, sc in 3rd ch of beg ch 3
Rep rows 2 and 3 until your infinity scarf is the desired length. Fasten off after a row 2, seam ends together, and weave in all tails.
I really love the purple of this scarf, how dark and rich it is. My finished infinity scarf is 66"x9".
Enjoy this pattern!
Xoxo, Alyssa
