Star Stitch Cowl

These pretty shades will remind you of a beautiful sunset. The soft colors work up well with the star stitch.
I used one skein of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted in Sherbert with size 9 circular needles.
This yarn is a splurge, but you could use whatever yarn you want. I think variegated colors look lovely with the star stitch.
Co 140, join without twisting, and place marker.
Rows 1 and 3: k
Row 2: *k3tog, leave sts on lh needle, yo, k same 3 sts tog again, drop the sts off the lh needle, k1; rep from * to end across
Row 4: k2, *k3tog, leave sts on lh needle, yo, k same 3 sts tog again, drop sts off the lh needle, k1; rep from * to end to last 2sts. End this round by making a star- sl 2 sts to rh needle, remove marker, sl 2 sts back to lh needle, k3 tog, leave sts on lh needle, yo, k same 3 sts tog again, drop sts off the lh needle, sl 1 st back to lh needle, place marker, and continue on with row 1. (This ends the round with a star to keep it even, and keeps the marker in the correct position)

Rep rows 1-4 until your cowl is the desired width.
After a row 1, bo loosely in k. Weave in any ends, and you're finished!
I love how the colors blend together with the star stitch!
My finished cowl is 7 1/2" x 26".
I hope you enjoy this pattern!
Xoxo, Alyssa
