Flamingo Shawl

This hot pink yarn knits up easily into this soft parallelogram shawl. The eyelet pattern is easy, emphasizing the interesting shape.
I used two skeins of Knit Picks Palette in Rouge with size 9 circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches during the center part of the scarf.
Co 4, longtail
Row 1: k across
Row 2: k1, kfb, k to end
Rep rows 1 and 2 four times
Row 3: k2, *yo, k2tog; rep from * to end across to last 2 sts, k2
Row 4: rep row 2
Rep rows 1 and 2 four times
Row 5: k2, *yo, k2tog; rep from * to end across to last 3 sts, k3
Row 6: rep row 2
Rep this section until a little less than half out of yarn, after a row 5
Row 7: k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
Row 8: k across
Rep rows 7 and 8 four times
Row 9: rep row 7
Row 10: rep row 5
Rep rows 7 and 8 four times
Row 11: rep row 7
Row 12: rep row 3
Rep this section until four sts remain
Bo loosely, and weave in all remaining ends
Block this to open up the stitches.
Here is the shawl all spread out, although taken from a slightly strange angle.
My finished parallelogram shawl is 21" at the widest point and 68" long.
I hope you enjoy this shawl!
Xoxo, Alyssa
