Icy Crystal Earrings
These sparkly crystal earrings will be sure to shine! The blues remind me of ice and winter. Sparkle is needed on these dreary winter days.
Materials: 4mm crystal bicones, chain, ear wires, eye pins, headpins, bent nose pliers, round nose pliers, and wire cutters.
Thread two bicones onto an eyepin, then bent the wire, and trim the end. Form the loop, and close it.
Cut 4 pieces of chain, 2 at 2 1/2 inches, and 2 at 3 1/4 inches. Attach one of the longer pieces to the end of an eyepin. Thread a bicone, the shorter piece of chain, 2 more bicones, the dangle from the previous step, 2 bicones, the other end of the shorter piece of chain, and a bicone. Bend the excess wire, and trim the end. Form the loop, and before closing, attach the other end of the longer piece of chain.
Attach an ear wire to the top of the dangle.
Thread a bicone onto an eyepin, bend the end, trim the excess, them form the loop. Before completely closing, attach the dangle to the center link of chain.
Make two more dangles, and attach them to the chain on either side of the center dangle. I skipped three links between each dangle.
Make seven more dangles, this time with two bicones each. Attach one to the center link, then add three more on either side, skipping three links in between each.
Repeat these steps to make the second earring. http://www.slideshare.net/houseofgemssm/magical-chandelier-earrings-with-chain-and-icy-crystals

So pretty and clever! I make my own earrings and the use of the eyepin across the top will definitely be a new technique! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's great for the chandelier style.
