Casual Cowl
This soft yarn knits up to make a lovely textured cowl. The stitch is simple, but adds interest. The scarf has a ribbed border, to give it clean lines.
Co 248 on size 7 needles, join without turning
Knit 5 rows of k2, p2 ribbing.
Change to size 10 needles
Rows 1,3,5, and 7: k around
Row 2 and 4: (k1, p3) around
Row 6 and 8: p2, (k1, p3) around, k1, p1
Rep rows 1-8 until you are ready to add the ribbing.
Change to size 7 needles
Knit 5 more rows of k2, p2 ribbing.
Bo loosely, or using JSSBO.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.
This texture makes for a very soft, comfortable cowl, perfect for wrapping two or three times under a coat in the winter.
My finished infinity scarf is 8"x 76".
Xoxo, Alyssa
