Hot Pink Skinny Shawl

This long, narrow triangle shawl is perfect for warmer months, especially with the bright pink color. It is light and lacy, also making it great for spring or summer.
I used almost half of a skein of a Simply Soft in Watermelon. I used size 9 circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches.
The knitted cast on will be used throughout the pattern. You can find video tutorials online if you do not know what this means.

Co 4
Knit one row
Co 4 at beg of row, k4, yo, k2tog, k2
Co 4 at beg of row, k4, *yo, k2tog, k2; repeat from * to end
Repeat this row until you have 120 stitches.
For next 10 rows: co 4 at beg or row, k4, (yo, k2tog, k2) 3 times, k to last 12 sts, (yo, k2tog, k2) 3 times
For next 8 rows: co 4 at beg of row, k4, (yo, k2tog, k2) twice, k to last 8 sts, (yo, k2tog, k2) twice
For next 6 rows: co 4 at beg of row, k4, yo, k2tog, k2, k to last 4 sts, yo, k2tog, k2
For next 2 rows: co 4 at beg of row, k across
Bo in knit.

Weave in any ends, and then you're finished!
This scarf is 8"x80". You could also use larger needles if you wanted this scarf to be more open and lacy.
I hope you enjoy this scarf!
Xoxo, Alyssa

    1. The row that says co 4, k4, *yo, k2tog, k2; rep to end is the row that you repeat as many times as you would like, or as I have here, 120 sts. You co 4 at the beginning of every row, to make it symmetrical.
      Hope that helps!

  4. For give me I'm a male knitter lol.. That's me in the picture..When you say beginning will that be from where you initially CO at? Help me see the increase please. Because with doing this repeat I'm left with 8st not an increase.. Sorry to bug ya.

  5. I used the knitted cast on, so you co 4 at the beginning of every row, before doing any of the pattern repeats. It's not the very beginning of the scarf, just that one row that you are about to start. So you should increase 4 sts every row.
I hope I helped you figure it out!

    1. Ok so CO 4 then use the knit CO until I get 120st. Then go back to the CO 4, k4, yo, k2tog, k2?

    2. Every row has the stitch pattern of (yo, k2tog, k2) except the last few rows that are mostly just garter stitch. Every row also has the co 4, knitted cast on. I think you have it now!

  6. At first this pattern made no sense. I guess because at first you have 8st repeat a few times.. But the outcome is nice. O did my mine is a size 6. I will make another one but but longer next. Thanks follow r your help and quick response.
Ps I'd post a pic but I'm not sure of how on here?
