Butterfly Infinity Scarf

The pretty, springy purple color is perfect for this stitch. Up close, it looks like little butterflies.
I used one skein of Simply Soft in Grape with an I hook.
Ch 41
Row 1: In 2nd ch from hook, sc, *sk 3 ch, (3dc, ch 5, 3dc) in next ch, sk 3 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across
Row 2: Ch 4, turn, sk sc, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, *ch 3, sc in 3rd ch of ch 5 sp, ch 3, dc2tog over next dc and then sk 2 dc, sc, 2 dc, and continue dc2tog in next dc; rep from *across, ch 3, sc in 3rd ch of ch 5 sp, ch 3, dc2tog over next dc and sc
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, *sc in dc2tog, (3dc, ch 5, 3dc in next sc; rep across, sc in next dc

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until the scarf is as long as you would like, or until out of yarn. Fasten off, seam together, and weave in ends.
See the little butterfly wings? My finished scarf is 66"x8".
Enjoy this pattern! I just love this bright purple color so much, I don't know why I don't use more purple!
Xoxo, Alyssa
